Respecting Opponents
"We go into every game with tremendous respect for our opponents. Because we win, people get the impression we don't have any respect for the teams we beat. That's a myth. Sometimes, following a close game, I'll read that the other coach or the other players have said, "I hope they respect us now." That always dissapponts me. We respect everyone. That’s why we are consistent. We feel the greatest respect we can afford a team is by CRUSHING them. That shows we respected them enough to be up for the game and respected them enough to go after them. I think when you don't chase and bury a team, you are showing lack of respect for yourself and the team you are playing." (from the book "Training Soccer Champions" by Anson Dorrance. Current UNC Coach & former National Team Coach)

EPYSA Indoor Cups
This year we mage it out of group play only to lose in the Semi-final round to FC York, who definetly couldn't have been the same team we dominated in the tournament 3 days earlier because they were eventually the champion. But over-all a good showing and the girls had a great time.
LSC 4 Quakertown 1
LSC 1 Souderton 1
LSC 2 Lower Dauphin 0
Quarter-Final LSC 2 Buckingham Hurricanes 0
Semi-Final LSC 1 FC York 3
Bucksmont Indoor Tournament
As a warm up for Indoor Cups, we were a last minute fill-in team at Bucksmont. After not touching the ball in over 2 weeks, we had a rough start against THIS years and last years Indoor Cup Champions Lehigh Valley. We then played FC York and won which put us in the second place concellation game vs YMS Panthers, winning that game too. It was a great warm-up for cups considering it was only 3 days away!!
LSC 2 Lehigh Valley 8
LSC 6 FC York 1
LSC 3 YMS Panthers 2
Fall Season in review
In their first season in PAGS, the Royals came away with a .500 record in the Championship Division ans just missed the playoffs by one point. Along the way, they defeated the season champion YMS Panthers 3-2, tied the #2 team Anderson 2-2, and dominted the #3 and #4 teams only to lose to them 1-0. At the end of the season we had more scheduled games than the division and PAGS took away one of our wins which knocked us out of the play-offs at the same time we were playing our best. One more win and we had the potential to beat ANYONE!! So over-all not a bad season. In UJSL we played in a 12/13 split. We played thru an undefeated season that didn't finish until mid-December, and eventually won the Championship. Congratulations Royals on an exciting Fall Season !!
After two cancellations we FINALLY got to play our championship vs the U13 Lansing team. On the cold blustery afternoon, on a slick muddy field, the Royals found the back of the net and won 2-1 finishing an undefeated season. Congratulations on a well played game!!
West Deptford ThanksgivingTournament
We competed in the Premier Division and played 3 of the best teams in the South Jersey Area. We went 1-1-1, losing by 1-0 to one of the Top teams in the SJGSL, Millville Magic, who eventually lost in the Tournament Championship to Indian Mills SC Warriors. A good showing in a very competitive tournament. A special thanks to our guest player Shelby for helping our team too!! We look forward to having her back sometime soon!!! The scores were as follows:
LSC 0 Monroe Thunder 0
LSC 3 Clifton Stallions 1
LSC 0 Millville Magic 1
Jack Walsh Memorial Tournament FINALIST !!(10/12/08)
A great tournament & a great challenge playing up a year against U-13 teams. The Royals opened up the tournament vs Upper Dublin with a dominant win. The Royals controlled the ball, passed & distributed well thru the entire game which was the only one of the day. Sunday was opened against Springfield with a loss 1-0 which left the team being beaten to every ball and being limited to one shot on goal. The second game vs Lansing was another great performance and a score of 2-0. The Royals got to play Springfield in the final and took it to them for 60 minutes & a 10 minute over-time. The game was back & forth with much more offensive pressure from LSC. Unfortunately we came up short in the shoot-out with our shooters unable to find the corners. But we take a great challenge & some great performances to build on for the rest of our fall season. There's nothing bad about being a finalist playing up a year in ANY tournament when you're challenging the competition.
LSC 0 vs Springfield Soul 1 (PAGS U-13 Div. 2, 3-0)
LSC 2 vs Lansing Pride 0 (UJSL U-13)
Championship LSC 0 vs Springfield 0 (Lost in Shoot-out)
21st Annual Al Perlini Tournament Finalists(8/31/08)
The results of the tournament below. After dominating the first 3 teams, the Royals dropped the last game vs Langhorne. All we needed was a tie or a win to take the tournament since Langhorne tied Horsham 0-0. Langhorne just had more game left. Still a godd showing & a great warm-up for the Fall Season!!
LSC 6 Lower Merion Venom 0
LSC 4 Horsham United 0
LSC 7 Haverford SC Lady Knights 1
LSC 1 Langhorne Express 2
WELCOME TO THE TEAM !!! (8/5/08)

Go ROYALS!!!
Beach Blast pictures are loaded in the "Pictures" section.
With a slow start against a surprisingly tough Hunter Crush, the girls decided to put on a tough defensive front & shut
out 3 talented offensive teams with 3 shut-outs. Though the tournament was supposed to be decided by points, the final
game was actually a championship since Uk. Nat'l DNIPRO also went undefeated and with only 1 goal against. But the Royals
defense shut them down & scored 2 on a very powerful and talented host. That's 2 tournaments in a row without a loss or a tie.
Coach McCoy lived up to his promise & went into the dunk tank for the girls!! Also, Kayla found our designated "GOOD LUCK ROCK" named MUFLE (why? We'll never know!!) Great Job Girls!!
LSC 3 Hunter Crush 2
LSC 3 YMS Panthers 0
LSC 4 Cecil Sonics 0
LSC 2 Ukrainian Nationals 0
YMS EPIC Tournament Champions!! (5-11-08)
The LSC Royals went into the tournament with a goal of finally taking a championship home.
With a total team effort and some timely shots & saves they took home the prize.
"We're goin to the moon bounce!!"
Congratulations girls on your first of many tournament championships!!
One of the girls is Tobin Heath, back when she was on the U-20 Nat'l Team. She is now on the WNT and a junior at North Carolina, coached by Anson Dorrance.
